I sent my tracks to several buses for layering of effects. For vocals, I sent them to a vocal bus which has DeEsser, Compressor, EQ whereas vocal effects are added onto the tracks as shown below. I also did stereo panning for the kick drum and bass at the centre, guitar on the left and keyboard instruments on the right. I played with the EQ for most of the instruments to create the sounds I want and also to cut out unwanted energy heard, for example, the sharp ring that is heard during the guitar riffs (by cutting out the high freq and boosted the mid), for kick drum, I boosted the low frequency to remove the flat sound (high freq), for keyboard, I cut off the low frequencies and sharpened the mid around 500-1000 Hz and also widened the 2k Hz for a cleaner sound. On the gain plugins, I turned on mono for all the tracks for now. I also did a little fixing on the vocal pitches and timing. For her vocals, I added compressor to balance the dynamics to avoid hearing sharpness. I also changed the pre-chorus to a very robotic through pitch correction.
