The main focus of this week is fixing the vocal tracks of Chloe's song. The tracks are needed to be altered in terms of correct pitching, timing and emphasis on articulation. Firstly, the pitches are corrected by firstly turning on the analysis for flex editing. I then used the flex pitch to start altering the flaws. The common thing I did was to cmd A the pitches and set the pitch correction to the max. After that, I lowered the vibrato for some of the pitches to create a rather clean sound for some of the articulation. In continuation of improving the articulation, I also fixed the gain for some parts of the vocals to create emphasis on the words. Then, I noticed that in the chorus and bridge parts, the timing was rather off. Therefore, I edited them on time by using the same setting (flex pitch) and alter the pitch/wave at the correct time. (Would work better with slicing)

I also newly added delay effects to the vocals to create a mild echoey sound which hopefully suits the song. I lowered the wet level to create a less draggy but hearable echo to the vocals.

Below is the tracks to the bridge of the song. I doubled the second half of the tracks with a higher pitch vocal to act as harmony by flexing the new track to an octave higher (cmd A and shift tracks). While the last "run" at the end was layered with a third-apart higher pitch.
As for the instrumentations, I added some pads in the intro and verse to create the sense of ambience. I also added some violins at the bridge to build up the song. Here is the latest version of the entire song:I am thinking of adding a swell effect to the last note right before the hook to create the feeling of anticipation for hook and I would also like to add delay effects on only certain notes in a track during the hook (run) but I am yet to find out how. New shortcuts learned this week: z for zooming in tracks (comes in handy while altering the timing for vocals), cmd left or right to look at different positions of track.
